With the on-going unrest and the need to have meaningful discussion surrounding race in America, the Race Relations Committee is hosting a mini Conversation Circle. Professional Dimensions has been on the forefront of addressing racial disparities and hosting conversations on race for over 10 years. The feedback from these circles have been overwhelmingly positive, because we offer a space to be vulnerable and have uncomfortable conversations.

If you are interested in engaging in a discussion about the issue of economic inequity caused by systemic racism and how we can better understand the points of view of those affected, please join us for this Mini-Conversation Circle on Wednesday July 29th from 5:00-6:30.  This session is limited to the first 50 registrants. Login information and more details will be sent out once we’ve reached capacity for the session.

Pre-work:

Prior to the start of the program, we ask that you view the following videos and article:

Trevor Noah's video Dominos of Racial Injustice. Trevor discusses how the social contract has been broken by systemic racism

Kimberly Jones video Can We Win. This video embodies the anger and desperation that many people feel due to economic injustice. The video contains explicit language and our purpose in showing this is to allow the message to be expressed as intended by the speaker, allowing her anger to be heard. Kimberly's bio.

US Businesses Must Take Meaningful Action Against Racism. This addresses the coming injustice caused by systemic racism in businesses and the impact on the American economy.
