Pete Carlson joined Aurora Health Care in 1994. As the president of Aurora Psychiatric Hospital and Sr. Vice President of Aurora Behavioral Health, he is responsible for oversight and operations of a multi-site behavioral health system. He leads strategic planning efforts, business development, physician recruitment and relations, professional education, research, philanthropy, and community relations for Aurora’s freestanding psychiatric hospital, as well as other inpatient locations, outpatient clinics, psychiatry practice and a private alternative high school. He has served in this position since 2001, having started work with Aurora as the director of intake services at the psychiatric hospital. Prior to joining Aurora, he worked for Family Service of Milwaukee. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Lawrence University, a master’s degree in education from Wichita State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Keller Graduate School.

Pete Carlson will provide PD members with an intimate look at behavioral health, followed by a question and answer session. PD members will have a chance to submit questions about behavioral health in advance so that he may tailor his presentation and address specific topics, within behavioral health, most relevant to members.

Vegetarian Lasagna - Layers of wheat pasta, diced vegetables and Italian cheese topped with seasoned bread crub gratin beked in casserole surrounded by fresh garden vegetables.
